Gourikwa Nature Reserve is one of the most unique private reserves along the South African coastline and is a wedding venue Garden Route. With 5km of pristine coastline, a rich variety of indigenous fauna and flora and facilities ranging from top class accommodation to a beachfront chapel and a state of the art wedding facility.

Located in the heart of the scenic Garden Route, the 2000ha reserve is nestled on the coast between Mosselbay and Stillbay and is only a 30min drive away from the George Airport.

There are three types of accommodation units on offer: Gourikwa Cottages, Fisherman Houses and Double Villa Suites (with additional sleeper couch). All units have recently been refurbished and sleep 2 to 6 people depending on the size of the unit. Each unit has its own unique charm and provides spectacular sea views.

Beach Wedding Venue & Accommodation

There are conference facilities accommodating up to 200 delegates on-site, as well as a Wedding Chapel. With the chapel overlooking the ocean, there are not many wedding venues that compare to Gourikwa’s offering.

The picturesque chapel with a thatch roof and bell tower is a mere 50m from the shore making it ideal for newly-wed pictures on the beach.
All tables and chairs are provided as well as mouth-watering catering services. Within walking distance from the chapel is the new state of the art venue which can hold between 180 – 200 people. The Pool House can be utilized as an additional bar.
