Studio Rainn is the creative home of wedding photographer Gemma “Rainn” Joubert. A Durbanville-based storyteller known for her energetic presence, instinctive direction and candid, emotionally rich imagery. Centrally located near Durbanville, she photographs weddings across Cape Town and beyond — from the West Coast’s windswept beaches to the vineyards of Stellenbosch and all the way through to the Garden Route.

Gemma founded Studio Rainn with one clear intention: to create photographs that feel as alive as the day itself. Her style blends guided moments with authentic connection, resulting in imagery that is both beautifully composed and deeply personal. She doesn’t believe in stiff posing or disappearing into the background entirely — instead, she reads the room, directs when needed, steps back when it matters, and keeps the energy flowing so couples can stay present and relaxed.
