1. Chic City Couple Photoshoot
The city (in this case Sandton City, Johannesburg) creates a beautiful backdrop for fun Couple Photos. Get a bottle of Champagne and pop it on a rooftop! Tip: Go early in the morning before there are too many people! Sunrise also creates stunning soft colours!
2. Artistic Urban Photoshoot Ideas
We did this Urban couple shoot at Maboneng, Johannesburg. The street art, graffiti and cute cafés were such an original idea for a couple shoot.
3. Greenhouse Couples Shoot
If you love natural photos you will love Rosemary Hill, this is an all-time favourite spot of mine to do couple shoots! Their legendary greenhouse is stunning! We did this shoot in the summer, the greens were just beautiful! Tip: Get professional makeup done for your shoot, the camera loves it!
4. Beauty and The Beach Photoshoot Ideas for Couples
Ah, the beach! The beach is my favourite backdrop for any shoot. It’s clean, its free (most venues are quite expensive to do photoshoots) and the sunrise and sunset light is just spectacular. Tip: don’t forget to check the tides!
5. Take Advantage of the beautiful Autumn Colours
My favourite season is autumn, because of all the warm colours. This couple was amazing to photograph, they were fun and relaxed! I loved the yellow colours they incorporated with their outfits! Tip: the sun sets earlier in autumn, make sure you have enough light for your shoot.
6. Suit Up!
Who doesn’t love to dress up? I do! Buy yourself that formal dress and book a photo shoot. You deserve it, girl! Also, make sure your guy is on the same page. Tip: you can always have two outfits for your couple shoot, one formal and one informal.
7. Flaunt Inner Hippie with a Bohemian Themed Couple Shoot
I love it when couples have creative -out–of–the–box ideas! How stunning are these boho couple photos? Tip: go all out, get the outfit (or even make it yourself like this awesome boho lady) set a table with boho décor, and get your makeup and hair done. Her makeup and hair were done by Annelize Makeup Artistry.
8. Drama Queens & Fashionista’s, Book a Studio Photoshoot
For the fashion blogger couple who loves drama, why don’t you book a studio shoot? It’s glamorous and dramatic and it’s not all day that you get to do a magazine-like shoot. Vogue cover anyone? Tip: Studio shoots are great for winter months or if you want to shoot in midday because you are not dependent on external factors like the light. You can even shoot in the night!)
9. Nature’s Studio Couple Photoshoot
This shoot was shot in the couple’s backyard. Most of the time the background is out of focus so why not shoot in your backyard? People find a lot of excuses not to do a couple shoot, but my Nr. 1 tip is to use what you have! Dress up, take stunning photos, and live happily ever after.
10. Dog/ Pets With Couple Photoshoot Ideas Photos
One day I am going to have my animal rescue farm! Like seriously. I love animals and if you’re like me, why don’t they join us for the couple shoot? Dogs, rabbits, cheetahs… get your fur child to join the shoot! Tip: have some pet snacks to reward them during the shoot and also lots of water (being a professional model is hard work.)
