Recently completed in mid-2018; Highberry is a boutique winery which has recently established a brand new bespoke Somerset West Wedding Venue.

Located on the outskirts of Somerset West, bordering some of the country’s finest wine farms, the brand new venue offers exciting opportunities to host any form of event or celebration.

A total of 125 guests can be seated inside (including a dance floor). The rustic and intimate establishment resembles features of a modern countryside barn. With authentic and tasteful finishes all around; there is an evident tone of elegance, romance and charm – making it the ideal venue for any special occasion.

With a fully equipped kitchen, the venue includes a licensed bar, as well as spacious laws on which a marquee could be erected or canapés and live music can be held. It also has a more intimate utility area upstairs that may be used as a chapel and/or for smaller meetings of any particular nature.

This premium venue is surrounded by breath-taking vistas of the Hottentot Holland mountain range; lakes, horse paddocks, lush lawns and vineyards – all which can be enjoyed by the large and spacious outside covered patios, making it rather difficult to compete with.

A characteristic of Highberry’s strengths has been its commitment to biodiversity. 12 hectares has been returned to its original indigenous habitat (Renosterveld) from previously planted alien pine trees. This has taken over 5 years to accomplish, but the results are now evident as the legendary breath-taking Cape Floral Kingdom again comes to life; attracting birdlife and small wild animals alike, and ultimately allowing the natural flow of nature to thrive as intended. This unique and intense beauty is evident everywhere you look on the property.

Not only is Highberry 60 hectares in size; it presents one with the element of true privacy and intimacy for a wedding. The farm offers opportunity for endless photographic opportunities from all angles and dramatic slopes of the farm.

Ideal for the bridal party preparation; boasting with exquisite views onto mountain ranges is the farm house cottage. Completely surrounded by a spectacular manicured garden comprising of various herbs, roses and fruit trees. Perfect for bridal photographs.
