Granted by Simon van Der Stel in 1692, this historic farm is home to one of the Cape’s most popular wedding venues today. The farm still has the oldest existing threshing floor in South Africa.

Choose between their indoor barn which features 7 crystal chandeliers and adjacent courtyard bursting with so much character. Filled with gardens and mint aromas, fairy lights and fires. This courtyard becomes one with the barn and allows you to dance the night away under the African sky. Or choose to add a transparent marquee in their forest and enjoy your entire wedding day outdoors.

They have the beautiful forest which offers the most scenic sunset photo opportunities, their dam, the Stellenbosch mountain landscapes, vineyards, as well as inside their shed, lounge and courtyard. We have won numerous awards for being one of the most scenic venues in South Africa. 
Wedding Catering
The on-site chef loves planning unique wedding menus. Having done platters to tables (family style dining), pizzas and burgers, spitbraais, live food stations, elegant plated meals and buffet there really is no limit on your food preferences.

Venue capacity
For smaller weddings, they offer a long table under the crystal chandelier for 30 – 40 guests. For weddings with up to 80 guests, they offer 2 long tables or have scattered tables. They can seat up to 100 guests with a dance floor inside the Shed or 120 guests comfortably (max 144) without a dance floor. The dance floor can then be set-up in the courtyard under the fairy lights.
