Have A Wedding Coordinator
The best advice is to make sure you have someone dedicated to all the wedding details on the day of your wedding. This will ensure you don’t have to stress about any last minute hiccups that might occur on the day. Ideally a wedding planner or coordinator; but if you choose to use a family member or bridesmaid that is also fine. Do however, take into account the stress this might put on them.
Eat & Stay Hydrated
First and foremost: Stay hydrated and eat! Try to eat and drink water throughout the morning to ensure you stay hydrated and nourished throughout the day. Drink a glass of water just before you walk down the aisle. It will do wonders and even taking a multivitamin can make sure that you last the whole day until the end of the night.
Eat before you leave the reception if you can. If you don’t think about food before you leave before the night, you will be ravenous. You probably wouldn’t have eaten all day, and that will have an effect on your energy levels. Try to eat when your guests eat – but many couples don’t find the time to eat during the reception so you have to prepare for that. You can ask the caterer to pack you some food and take it with you.
Remember To Breath
Practice deep breathing: Taking slow, deep breaths can help you to relax and calm your nerves. Before the wedding ceremony, try taking several deep breaths in and out, focusing on each breath.
Secure Your Accommodation
Make sure that the room you’ll be staying in is clean and tidied up, especially if it’s the same room you got ready in the morning of. Make sure that you guys can celebrate once you’re in the room with a bottle of bubbles while you’re freshening up, loosening up your hair, reminisce about the day together.
Always Put Yourself First
Last but not least the day is about you and remember it’s what you and your partner wanted. Try and forget about the rest of the people’s opinions. If you want a pink wedding dress you have your pink wedding dress!
