Keep Guests Warm During Your Winter Wedding
Hosting a winter wedding can be charming, whimsical and just as fun as a summer wedding but let’s face it; guests will get cold! To prevent your guests from getting chilly we’ve listed a few common and quirky ways to keep guests warm during your winter wedding.
Keep Guests Warm During Your Winter Wedding
Space out heaters
Patio heaters have become increasingly popular as South Africa, especially Cape Town, is known for the 4 seasons in one day. You can easily incorporate heaters into your wedding venue on the day.
Candles Everywhere
It is very on trend to design your wedding around pillars and different shapes and sizes of candles. Not only do they look absolutely gorgeous as reception table decor but they give off heat. This is sure to keep your guests warm while they are at their designated tables.
Hand out blankets
Place a basket near the entrance to your ceremony and fill it with cozy blankets. This way, guests can take it to wrap around them if they feel a chill. You can easily find them in a variety of shades and they won’t break the bank when you buy in bulk.
Give a cozy favour
Send guests home with personalised blankets (including your wedding date or monogram) that guests can use on the day and for months afterwards. You can place a blanket on each seat for a warm and cozy look!
Create warming stations
Set up fire pits around your wedding venue where guests can sit comfortably and enjoy their drink. Want to give them a special treat? Offer up marshmallows on skewers which is always a crowd pleaser round a fire!
Serve a Warming, Festive Feast
You can’t beat a warming winter soup as a starter. For the main, serving a Roast Sunday-style Buffet is sure to be hit. And don’t forget about dessert… Nothing says cozy quite like a malva pudding with custard to make your guests warm from inside.
Set up a hot chocolate bar
During dessert, give guests an extra sweet treat with a hot chocolate bar that features all of the toppings like marshmallows, sprinkles, and whipped cream. Add some warm chocolate chip cookies and everyone will leave happy as can be!
