Viking Winter Wedding Inspiration
South Africa’s winters seldom include the traditional snow and ice that is often the key feature of Winter themed Weddings. So for this styled shoot, we had to think outside the box. An amazing team of wedding professionals came together to create this breathtaking Viking inspired scene. From the strong and fierce broadsword to the intricate, lace wedding dress – everything looked amazing. While the dramatic, rustic elements of the venue, decor and flowers tied everything together perfectly. Have a look at the photos and let us know what you think.
Viking Winter Wedding Inspiration
Diamant Estate played host to our latest wedding inspiration photoshoot. This one was a Winter Wedding theme, inspired by the Nordic Vikings, with touches of medieval decor elements. This inspirational setup focused on dramatic, dark colours with touches of red and warmer colours. The rustic feel of the venue set the scene perfectly. With candles and a fireplace bringing an element of heat to the chilly winters day.
Traditional winter wedding themes are known to include ice and snow, but that is not a key feature in South African winters. Our climate definitely doesn’t allow for a snowy white winter. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take the theme and make it your own. If you are looking for vendors to make your dream wedding a reality look no further than the amazing people involved in this styled shoot.
Coordinating and Capturing this Amazing
Leana from Just Jack Wedding and Events took charge and ensured everyone was performing at their optimum level. Creating a great creative environment to assist everyone involved to thrive. Eyelikephotography is the new kid on the block and they captured the styled shoot perfectly through their lenses. Chanel Olivier from Chanel Olivier Hair & Make-up made our model, Micke Moutton from Mick Creative, look like a true Viking Queen making use of a darker colour pallet which complimented the model’s skin tone and overall look beautifully.
The Viking Bride, Wedding Dress and Decor
Of course, a Viking Queen needs a strong armour and My Special Day Bridal Boutique gave THE BEST bespoke dress for the shoot. The model’s look was rounded off with jaw-dropping jewellery from ZVD Bespoke Jewellery, a beautiful flower crown, that we just simply cannot get enough of, and a new take on a bridal bouquet. The sword not only fit in to the styled shoot perfectly but also rounded off the look to the T.
To-nett’s are the brilliant creative minds behind the flower crown, sword and all the amazing flowers and decor seen at the styled shoot. A team with more dedication to a unique theme you won’t find anywhere else – they should be the first point of contact!
Alexa from Directional Design also had her creative goggles on and surprised us with unique and detailed wedding stationery; proving once and for all that there is no such thing as “to much” once you have a clear vision in mind.
