Havana Inspired Wedding Styled Shoot
This styled shoot was inspired by the vibrant wedding colors and overall festive feeling you get when you think of Havana. The collaborative efforts of all suppliers involved really wanted to bring this feeling indoors in a warm and cosy manner.
The Venue and Location:
The Grand Hall is one of the many new venues available at Hazendal Wine Estate. With its floor to ceiling windows, it allows for a unique front row seat of the modern wine cellar – a perfect setting for any celebration!
With this one of a kind view in mind, it was decided to use the wine cellar as the backdrop and setting for the styled shoot.
The Flowers and Décor:
Pretty in Stains and Bouwer Flowers decided to play with the vibrant colours of the flowers to create a gradient effect across the table. Keeping the actual arrangements simple and grouped, these were displayed in and on terra cotta pots of different shapes and sizes.
Gorgeous wicker baskets and naked bulbs from Authentic Planning formed the base for the hanging installation above the table. These were adorned with large tropical greens and coloured in with various colourful flowers (notice the floral chandelier).
To bring the table and theme to life, Chef Michelle Theron from Hazendal designed a mouth-watering menu specially for the styled shoot and the festive theme.
Make-up, Hair & Dress:
Suzanne (Skoonlief) decided on a bold red lip and sultry dark eyes paired with side swept hairstyle hanging loose. Alana van Heerden’s stunning layered wedding dress is the perfect dress to dance and shake loose.
