The concept for this beautiful styled shoot was the brainchild of a group of students from the SA School of weddings
. This assignment featured various talented suppliers in the industry and provided the students with these stunning pictures for their portfolios. The photographs were taken by the very talented Dean from DGR Photography
. The students tell us more about this wedding inspiration shoot:
Grecian Wedding Inspiration:
“The theme we decided to go with was a Greek-inspired shoot called Grecian Love. We decided to do this theme because it seemed like it had not really been done before and one of the major components of the assignment was to think out of the box and to try and do something people had not seen before.
Therefore we went with an outside ceremony and reception, to create a beautiful natural feel. We went with a beautiful greenery banner where the couple could stand under for the ceremony and it became a feature for the reception, Soft touches were added with white proteas and roses.”
The Decor and Dress
“The tables had gold underplates as this goes with the traditional colours of Greece. The dress was a Marlize Meeding
dress that had the perfect feel of our twist on a Grecian goddess.
We added little touches of Greece like the head of David, the golden crown of the bride and the soft touches of blue from the bridesmaids’ dresses.”
From the Photographer:
“When the students contacted me with the concept and wanted me to photograph this for them, I was so excited., I love working with new upcoming people in the industry. The Grecian set was perfectly created and fitted so beautifully with the Ground venue, as they have these beautiful trees that fit perfectly with the soft colour of Greece. It complimented the scene and we ended the shoot with the soft true South African sunset that just added to the feel of Greece.”
