From Paris Fashion Week to your Wedding Table
Pastel Wedding Table Inspiration
Flowers are blooming and the sun is shining down softly all around us. These touches of freshness means that spring is in the air. And to celebrate this, wedding designer, Kelly Kreates collaborated with industry professionals to share a unique spring-inspired wedding design set at the stunning, newly renovated, Hazendal Wine Estate glass venue (perfect for your special day).
Designed for the ultra modern bride, who isn’t afraid of adding a little colour and texture to create a memorable setting, unlike anything guests have seen before.
Of course, there is always room for the traditional bride who loves white, greens and pinks (we love you) but this styled shoot was for those who want to share a distinctive experience with their guests. We wanted to show what is possible with stationery, florals and a team who constantly innovate to customise experiences that are personalised for you and your celebration!
INSPIRATION
Spring is a colourful season and we took inspiration from the creations nature provides but added a youthful twist; focussing on two of the season’s dreamiest hues – yellow and lilac. Together these two make a surprisingly sophisticated combination. And you don’t have to look far to see why, New York and Paris spring collections say it all.
Spring is a time of renewal – its lighting begs to enjoy colourful celebrations which is why we wanted to create a styled shoot that encompassed this.
FLOWERS
The flowers were a celebration! The dyed asparagus fern is a modern take on the floating installation; creating visual impact and drawing guests eyes up to see the surrounding beauty provided by nature and the Hazendal Wine Estate architecture.
This was complemented with a high and low approach to table florals, including a garden created on the ground; growing up along the table and drawing the eye to the stunning table setting. All finished all with a colourful floral installation on the tables. All carefully curated by the talented Grand Botanist who sourced all locally grown flowers.
FURNITURE
The furniture was customised by the incredible team at Event Architect. They go above and beyond to deliver the best customised results for their clients. We painted the malawian chairs according to the theme to subtly bring in another pop of colour. Pastels have always been a trend for weddings but now brides are becoming more creative with the colour selections and combinations. This yellow and lilac combination is youthful, fun and energetic. And couples can customise their colour combinations and how they use it.
STATIONERY
Stationery is vital to ensuring your event is personalised to your specifications. Here we’ve customised the backdrop, bar as well as the tables. The designs mimic the colour palette and set the styling apart. Kelly Kreates always encourages couples to customise their stationery to put their personal stamp on the details. It’s these details that redefine an event.
We’ve swopped out traditional tablecloths and runners with a custom vinyl design that creates a colourful-spring foundation for your table. When choosing to be this bold, the additional elements need to seamlessly compliment the backdrop. Your design elements should not compete.
Ensuring our vinyls were carved out exactly to the dimensions of our arch and curved tables; Eezy Print pulled out all the stops. They also printed our menu cards on the stunning foam.
ACCESSORIES
We’ve gone bold with our foundation but softened it with white and nudes throughout crockery & napkins across the wedding table – with touches of gold cutlery to elevate the glamour. Accentuated with the royal diane glass cut and frenchy glassware. All these stunning details were provided by the incredible teams at Hire Haus and Muse Decor.
THE BRIDE
Our bride donned a whimsical Violette Gown by Temple by Bo & Luca – the details of this romantic figure-flattering silhouette made our bride feel like the goddess she is. While Esther Verkuil styled soft spring waves and the bride’s freckles and ginger hair was accentuated by the mastery of well-known makeup artist Carina Pereira.
Captured perfectly by the talented wedding and editorial photographer – Shezan Photography and The Full Frame Fox.
We encourage couples to get creative, be fearless, bold and let your wedding day be an expression of who you are. Your dream wedding can become a reality when you choose the right team to curate and execute.
