“I moved to Mozambique 13 years ago, returning to my home town in the mother city, Cape Town in September 2021. My first year back I threw myself into fashion and TVC, second year I targeted the bridal industry as I do come from a long background of bridal make up. I’ve been doing make-up full time since 2008. Being new to the industry in Cape Town I knew I had to collaborate with key players in the market and create a memorable shoot to capture the audience attention.”

“I approached Once Worn Bridal Boutique as I really loved their concept of sustainability, planting a tree for every dress sold and new to their concept is bee preservation going into 2023. A portion of their sales goes to planting bee loving, indigenous plants. They care about the environment and bees are a part of the global food system and pollinate up to 75% of our food crops. Jacelyn and her assistant Shannon were excellent. So professional, eager to help and just a bundle of joy to be around. We decided on 2 stunning gowns from local designer Rosa Karoo Bridal.”

“The location was selected based on a previous stay at Franschhoek Country House and Villa. The garden gave me such an antique kind of secret garden vibe. I absolutely loved it and knew I had to arrange a shoot there asap. I approached and again I was lucky enough to get another immediate yes. Juanita at Franschhoek Country House was extremely accommodating, making sure we were all comfortable while shooting in the middle of winter, as we wanted the photos out by the beginning of spring.”
