Destination elopement at Sandcastle Villa
Destination elopement at Sandcastle Villa
The location for this destination elopement was the most unique and exciting component of the shoot. The villa is unlike anything else, with its large mounds that emulate sandcastles and its sand walls make you feel as if you are inside a sandcastle. The interplay between colour and texture creates an exciting contrast between the bridal couple and their venue. The idea of the shoot was to follow a carefree, adventurous couple. Who instead of abiding by strict wedding day traditions, such as not seeing the bride, spent the day together and enjoyed each other’s company.
As the shoot was focused on the idea of elopement, there was a sense of adventure. The couple moved from the villa to the beach, where they shared a quiet moment together and finally to their post-celebratory bath. The décor was kept minimal, instead opting for monochromatic minimalism. Perhaps the most unique component of the shoot is the villa’s location-less look, creating the image of a desert-scape, Morocco, Santa Fe, or a beachside destination.
With a focus on classical styling, the shoot allowed for a wedding that evokes. Tradition as well as contemporary taste, allowed for a unique path to be explored. The idea behind the concept was a play on textures as opposed to colours, and we think the results speak for themselves: Stylish, simple, and oh, so sophisticated.
The “less is more” approach will set the tone for 2021 and we’re looking forward to seeing this concept evolve into wedding designs going forward.
