Bold Blue & Gold Wedding Inspiration at The Wonderland Club
Bold, Classy and Elegant. These words sum up the Bold Blue and Gold Wedding Inspiration Theme. Blue and gold is an ideal theme which is satisfactory for your summer, winter, spring and autumn seasons and can be utilised for any type of wedding from your beach, rustic or bohemian wedding to name a few. The colour combination works well together because blue is classic and dark whereas gold highlights the detail. Stylist Liezel Short of LS Event Consulting invites you to dream, to give wings to your imagination to be inspired by this styled photoshoot.
Bold Blue & Gold Wedding Inspiration at The Wonderland Club
The Wonderland Club is the toast of Cape Town’s nightclubs situated in the city bowl in a newly renovated 1950’s synagogue and painstakingly restored to its former glory. This trendy interior, with its explosive rich colour palette, the beauty inspiration of opulent fabrics and lighting made it the ideal venue and setting for this shoot.
There are no boundaries. Your dinner; your celebratory event or wedding can be whatever you can imagine. Dare to be creative with your linen and napery. Taking the inspiration from the setting the blank canvas was indeed a piece of rich upholstery fabric, soft to the touch with an elegant drape providing the colour palette and departure point for the creative team. Be imaginative with your flatware & glassware – gone are the days of white matching crockery or plain cutlery – use an eclectic mix of pieces. Integrate various designs, colours and textures – in vogue are handmade ceramics.
Given the current trend to play with structure, it was decided instead of fresh flowers to explore another medium. Johan from Good Letter Best created a bespoke sculptural work – indeed a timeless art piece in blue & gold Perspex. He carried the theme through with the design of the underplate and menu. The very striking and reflective centrepiece was illuminated by tall gold dinner candles and a selection of gold & black candlesticks from The Hire Haus.
Completing the setting for this occasion and reviving the art of the perfect hostess in Cape Town’s very own diva, the gracious and glamorous Odidiva, dressed to kill in the latest Stephan Morris Couture and a symphony of glitter, attitude and flourish with all shades of the LGBTQ rainbow.
