Lenandi and Dian met in collage when Lenandi was first year and Dian was busy with his honours. “After that he went back to Namibia to start working, and I had to still finish my 3 years on Potchefstroom. We long distanced for 3 years until we got engaged in 2020 and then lock down happened. We got engaged on the 14th of January 2020 and that was the last time we saw each other until we got married; the 5th December 2020! That was the best day of my life. Why ? It was the first time I saw my fiancé again and everything just worked out amazing for us.”

The Perfect Day

“The week before we got married it was raining non-stop until the day we got married. The morning I woke up it was pouring outside and we got married at 4 o’clock that day. By 3 o’clock my dad phoned me to tell me that I have to go look outside and the sky was clear! It was the most beautiful day I have ever seen; God was so present on our wedding day. The day was so special with all our family and friends there from all over. After we thought that so little of them will be able to make it because of lock-down rules but it worked out perfectly and everyone we loved was there that day to take part in the love we share.” ”

With everything that happened to us before we got married, with the lock down and everyone just waiting for me to move our wedding date, I just knew that we were meant to be and I knew that God will make it happen for us.
