On the morning of 20 November 2021, the bride woke up with an overly excited heart. The biggest day of her life has arrived; after months of planning! The bridal party spent the night before the wedding at the breathtaking Opstal Stay, the wedding venue’s luxury accommodation.

They were greeted by a beautiful summer’s day!

The day kicked off with flawless makeup done by Elizabeth Rae. They spent the rest of the day admiring the breathtaking views of the Slanghoek valley mountains while sipping on champagne. The groom and groom’s men, on the other hand, spend most of the day in the kol-kol wood-fired hot tub with a beer or two to relax the nerves away.

Bridesmaids first look

The time arrived to get dressed in her gorgeous Rosa Karoo wedding gown. Her bridesmaids waited anxiously for the big reveal on the deck. Their reaction is something that she will never forget!

The big moment

She can’t remember much of walking down the aisle, except for Hein’s pure, sincere, and emotional reaction after seeing her for the first time that day. It is safe to say you could see that she took his breath away. The best part of the day: She got married to her best friend!

The Reception

Canapés, starters, mains, and desserts were prepared by the amazing Chef PJ who exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations. The beautiful flowers and décor were executed by Martelle flowers, Plantify, and Best Events. The speeches from family and friends were captivating, charming, and filled with genuine emotion.

And then last but not least they danced the night away!
