Melinda & Kahlil’s Soft & Romantic Wedding
SOFT & ROMANTIC WEDDING
Melinda and Kahlil’s earthy-toned palette created a soft & romantic touch on their wedding day. They tied the knot at Loch Lynne Wine Estate, a welcoming and warm venue in the heart of Durbanville Winelands. A day filled with butterflies, tears, laughter and unforgettable moments. As the candles were lit and speeches were made, the happy couple and their guests danced the night away.
The Venue
“First of all, Loch Lynne Wine Estate is a really stunning venue and location – quite breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, you know you are about to attend a special occasion.” – Zandri du Preez Photography
When Melinda and Kahlil walked into the reception venue, all the decor was set up beautifully and, they were greeted so warmly by all the service providers and venue staff. they knew right there and then that it was going to be a great day. Everything was organised and everyone was already having a great time.
The Beautiful Couple
Zandri du Preez Photography began the sunset photoshoot lower down, almost in a valley. She took photos of the couple as the warm sun passed low, over the hills in the background. They then had time to head back up towards the venue and shoot the sun going again, over the hills as it painted everything gold and dropped passed down over the horizon. It felt as though they had just been treated to two sunsets on the same day – you can’t beat that. When they entered through the gates of the venue earlier that afternoon, they had imagined the couple photoshoot happening in that way, and it did – perfect!
The couple had arranged for their dogs to stop by for a few cute photos. They even got taken on a short walk with the Bride & Groom. So even the dogs had the best time. Zandri truly captured the most soft & romantic images.
Getting Ready & Good Vibes
The good vibes continued as the Bride & Groom got ready. Zandri was able to capture the most wonderful moments of them interacting with their nearest and dearest. “We were treated with such kindness and respect by the bride and groom as well as their friends and families. We were made to feel like part of the gang. You can’t ask for anything more.” – Zandri du Preez Photography
Intimate I Do’s
The ceremony was really special within the intimate and stunning surroundings of Loch Lynne’s courtyard. Grande wooden doors lead into the reception venue and to the side of that, beyond the glass wall of the building is the lawn area where the guests had the most amazing time as canapés, drinks, and laughter were passed around in abundance.
“As the sound of great music and joyous conversations echoed through the lush vineyards, our job of taking photos was again made easy as everyone had a jol! As the guests arrived, it was clear that everyone was there to have the best time. We love it when that happens as we can simply focus on capturing all the natural moments as the day unfolds.” – Zandri du preez Photography
Dance the Night Away
The reception was glowing with candles by the time the speeches started. Having shot almost 400 weddings, Zandri doesn’t know if she has ever experienced such roaring laughter during a reception. This is what weddings are all about: romance, laughter, tears and creating memories that will last forever.
