It was a beautiful Autumn day when Christiaan and Dantie said their “I do’s” at Riverside Country Estate. The modern and warm theme of their wedding, along with their love for each other, definitely set the mood for the day and made it extra romantic.

Flowers & Decor

Lizelle from Pronkertjie Flower & Décor Styling: “The décor styling was influenced not only by our signature style, but also the style of the venue. Dantie wanted a clean look and feel to compliment the venue and her chosen wedding style. We opted for all white décor items and allowed the flowers and candles to add warmth and romance to the day.”

The scent of the garden roses and peonies added that something extra that you often lose when working with local flowers. Lizelle thinks that many brides shy away from getting married in winter, but this wedding is a perfect example of just how beautiful it can be.

Bride Dantie: “For our venue we chose Riverside Country Estate. The venue had a clean look and feel, and I knew you can’t go wrong with that. In part, this is what inspired the style for the wedding.”

Bride Dantie’s Inspiration

Lizelle loved working with these warm colours, especially having the contrast between the dried foliage and fresh flowers. Getting to create something that was both modern and romantic, had her excited to be part of their wedding day. Designing Dantie’s bridal bouquet must’ve been the highlight for Lizelle.

Dantie wanted the flowers to set the mood for their wedding day. Their colour scheme and style were born from the flowers she liked most, which included deep reds, burgundy & pink. Dantie realised that she liked a more modern approach rather than the traditional. Pronkertjie Flower & Décor Styling made it happen.

Groom Christiaan

Cosy Ceremony

Christiaan proposed to Dantie at God’s Window near Sabie. Even though the fog made sure there was no view that day, it was happening. He asked her on one knee to become his wife. He even arranged for the engagement shoot the next day. Guess he knew the answer.

Advice From The Bride
