Carla & Justin’s Wedding at Drosberg

On 12 March 2022 this bespoke wedding was captured by Bjorn Groenewald Photography at the amazing Drosberg Wedding & Function Venue. Herewith some words from the photographer about the wedding.

Getting Ready For The Big Day

As I captured the traditional ‘getting ready’ photos at each separate camp, both bride and groom were relaxed and confident. It took very little for me to get them settled in front of my lens.

The Wedding Ceremony

The light was perfect as they arrived for the ceremony at the outdoor chapel of Drosberg. The walk down the aisle went smoothly as the father of the bride handed his daughter to her soon-to-be husband. Justin’s smile spoke a thousand words.

Complete Happiness

As they turned to face each other, their quiet confidence made sense. They shared a joint expression of pure bliss and complete happiness just being in one another’s presence. A perfectly run ceremony capped off by a few moments spent in prayer led to some amazing moments captured.

Signing The Wedding Register

The venue was lit to perfection. Everything following the ceremony flowed effortlessly; from the signing of the register to the starters (which looked mouth-wateringly delicious) and speeches, which left me with a warm reminder of what family is all about.

The Wedding Venue

I always enjoy shooting at the beautiful mountain-draped Drosberg. On this occasion, the weather was immaculate, the wedding planner was on form and the venue was on point as per usual. Carla and Justin chose a perfect day.

Wedding Couple Shoot

As perfect as this day had been, the real magic was captured during the couple`s shoot. Drosberg provides so many amazing locations for this portion of the day and the sunsets there are truly exquisite.

Quiet Confidence

Once again Carla and Justin wowed me with their quiet confidence. A confidence in their choice and in their love for one another. A confidence which clearly translates to their wedding photos. The interaction was easy, and the moments flowed into one another. I could have kept shooting all night.
