What seemed to begin as a summer romance back in December 2014, inevitably became true love at Duck Point. Cassidy and Brad met through a mutual friend on a Sun City vacation. They bonded over their same interests and life goals while floating around the lazy river, and they have been inseparable ever since. Over the past 6 years, they have created a beautiful life together, they truly are best friends and are what we like to call, a true definition of soul mates.

They have traveled to stunning destinations together over the years and the most special destination which will always be a part of their forever story is the Maldives. Here is where Brad got on one knee to ask the love of his life to marry him.

Floral and Décor

Cassidy and Brad had planned all the fun particulars of their wedding. As well as conceptualizing the design of their dream setting, and had then requested us to be a part of making their vision a reality. Doing the Floral Design, Décor Styling, and Wedding Coordination for Cassidy and Brad’s wedding has filled Cachét Creative with an overwhelming amount of gratitude and such electrifying excitement. What a joy it was for them to help create magic for them alongside their amazing suppliers.

For the Décor, the couple decided on a black, gold, and emerald theme wedding with a hint of crystal accents. The reception was set with Luxury Decor, where Cachét Creative used a mixture of a high and low vase and luxury floral gatherings on the guest’s table. This paired with a wave of high and low candlelight throughout the room creating a perfect romantic, moody ambiance. Black banquet tables; crystal candle décor; gold candles; black and crystal vases; black napkins; gold base-plates with black and gold cutlery for a timeless and elegant look were used in the design. Hanging installation above the dance floor, Lush greenery floral wall, and a luxe botanical, full floral runner for the sweetheart table completed the luxurious look for the reception.

The ceremony location

The ceremony location was on Duck Island overlooking the Vaal river bank. Petals placed alongside a Black Aisle Runner leading up to the Alter. An Arch at the alter and Arch at the Bridge, leading up to the Ceremony area covered in Textured, Lush Greenery with touches of White Luxury Floral. The floral Cachét Creative made use of in their designs were Delphiniums; Exquisite white Phalaenopsis Orchids; White Avalanche Roses; Preserved Amaranthus; White Anthuriums; Monstera Leaves; Soft Palm, Coco Leaf, and various other textured greenery.

Some special words from the bride: “Jade and her team, from Cachét Creative, executed our vision by doing our floral design and décor styling as well as coordinating the day! She is phenomenal and we were absolutely blown away when we walked into our reception hall for the first time for the big reveal.”

THE WEDDING VENUE: DUCK POINT

From the moment the couple had viewed their wedding venue for the first time. Up until they checked out of their accommodation the day after the wedding. They were treated like royalty. Duck Point was a huge factor in why their wedding was an absolute fairy-tale come true! It is truly the most beautiful wedding venue situated on the Vaal river banks with a stunning view in every room of the vicinity. Their staff is most professional and the food was otherworldly. They were accommodating by going above and beyond. Making sure that the couple and suppliers received only but the best. Especially during the moments leading up to and during the celebration.
