A Royal Affair at Highberry Wine Estate

Danielle and Lyle love simplistic elegance. They love designs that are striking yet intrinsically simple. Their wedding at Highberry Vineyards was an example of this – it was simple, elegant, memorable but felt effortless.

Wedding Colour Palette

The colours were a combination of nude, grey and white with touches of silver in the stationery. This was carried through all the design elements with calming grey taking centre-stage throughout the event.

The Wedding Venue

Highberry Wine Estate offered a picturesque backdrop of endless vineyards that crept up against the Sir Lowry’s mountains. It’s a true hidden gem that when found is admired and appreciated.

The Bride

Danielle’s dresses were both inspired by Sussex’s princess, Meghan Markle. Both were handmade and designed with Danielle in mind. She walked down the aisle in duchess silk dress with hand-beaded crystals all along the top and later surprised everyone when she entered the reception (in time for the couple’s speeches) in her second dress, a high neck fitted duchess silk gown with a short trail. It was simple but striking – the groom was even more blown away by the second dress.

The Wedding Design

Everything was personalised including the pillows during the reception and all the stationery was custom-made by Red Hare Designs. Kelly Kreates used quality linens (cotton, silk, tulle) and had three different table designs across the room. The flowers were designed by The Grand Botanist and were removed from the tables to create a floral circle around the dance floor just before mains. Guests were served a family feast style buffet by Salt and Pepper Catering which is why transportable flowers were essential. Draped in fairy lights and hundreds of candles – the venue looked just the way the bride had imagined it.
