Did you see our previous Pantone posts? We showed you how to incorporate the two Pantone Colours of the Year, Serenity and Rose Quartz, into your wedding, but here you can see how these two colours can be merged seamlessly to create a whimsical colour palette for your wedding! We caught up with Myrtle Events & Styling for all the details on this playful but elegant Styled Shoot.

Where did the Inspiration come from?

“With the Pantone colours of 2016 in mind, we wanted to create a Paris inspired Styled Shoot. Although we could not go to the actual Paris, we used French Toast Café who presented us with the perfect backdrop of a faux Eiffel Tower, and a bridge full of locked lockets. It really felt like we were really in Paris!”

How was the Shoot Executed?

“We achieved the look and feel with our stunning Model Ilze, she had the perfect look, big eyes, petite build and long blond hair. Our talented Makeup artist accentuated her beautiful eyes together with a soft pallet for her lips. We were also privileged enough to have Angelique from Gelique to have specially made a dress with a long soft tulle trail. The whole look was just so ethereal and fitted our model like a glove.

With the floral arrangements, we wanted something informal but still amazing. We, therefore, created a lovely floral necklace that consisted of tulips, greenery, and berries, as well as a down toned floral bouquet. We also wanted to create a playful prop to be used and for this reason, we decided to have a few blooms incorporated with an elegant lace umbrella.

And lastly, you can’t have a Paris shoot without a vintage bicycle. We therefore also decided to create some floral arrangements to complement our vintage bicycle!

Stationery was also done to perfection, with various elements, from a Bonjour laser cut sign together with a vinyl Save the Date champagne invite.

Renske from RDK photography had the idea of creating a Paris Inspired Shoot and with her keen eye for detail she definitely captured every moment with precision! She gave us free reign to be creative and we loved every moment of it!”
