What was the inspiration behind this Bohemian Wedding Theme?

A group of female entrepreneurs working in the wedding industry to come together to showcase our talent and how we should all be working with each other and not against each other in the very competitive wedding industry.

Our inspiration was to showcase the very trending bohemian wedding theme by adding a luxurious take on “bohemian beauty” and to showcase our skills and expertise as female entrepreneurs.

The floral design and overall colour scheme were a clean colour palette with natural browns, nudes and gold. We incorporated dried arrangements as they are the biggest trend in the wedding industry at the moment. Dried elements are timeless and can be incorporated into most wedding themes.

Tell us more about the decor?

Minimalistic clean colour pallet consisting of natural shades of brown, nude, gold and a pop of coral to soften the overall look and feel.

Styled shoot location:

La Residence is a luxury estate nestled in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands. Not many bridal clients are aware of this hidden gem. La Residence is suitable for our luxury bridal clients, we wanted to inspire bridal clients to get out of their comfort zone, push boundaries and choose a wedding venue that stands out from the rest. Strawberry Weddings and Events is Stellenbosch winelands based therefore we like to both promote and encourage partnerships with wedding venues in the winelands.

Advice for couples planning their wedding?

Focus on what is really important.

After all those months of planning your wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye, remember to take it all in.

Being a wedding planner, I have seen which aspects of a wedding my brides often spend too much time and money on, and which aspects they don’t focus on enough. For our luxury bohemian styled shoot, we wanted bring to our brides’ attention the most important décor, floral and stationery aspects to incorporate for their special day. We knew exactly what was right for this luxury styled shoot. Just the right touch of elegance, just the right amount of glamour, the perfect focus on what really matters!
