This Stellenbosch Wedding Venue, Nooitgedacht, is a family-owned and managed historical Cape Winelands estate with a rich heritage. It lies 4 km outside of Stellenbosch on the R304, (also known as the Koelenhof Road). The Cape Dutch homestead and outbuildings date back to 1774 and preserve a romantic, old-world feeling. Guests will experience a unique brand of historic charm, warmth and history.

The Manor House boasts expansive lawns shaded by centuries-old oak trees and is surrounded by orchards, rolling vineyards and magnificent mountains. The original cellar with its rustic atmosphere is used for functions and can accommodate 120-260 guests with a dance floor and 300 without. Adjacent to the cellar is a faunum/chapel for wedding ceremonies that can accommodate 170 guests. Alternatively, couples may prefer to conduct ceremonies in the beautiful gardens.

The Wirth family prides itself on offering guests a personal touch that can be experienced in every aspect. Menus, decor and other important details are tailored to suit client needs, making each function a unique and truly special occasion. A distinctive feature of menus is the consistent use of fresh, seasonal produce and the special deboned leg of lamb on the spit. Starters can be served outside as finger-food together with drinks or served at tables. The main course is served buffet-style, with two or three serving points determined by the number of people present. A plated option is also available. Dessert can also be buffet style or served at tables. Coffee is served afterwards.

The opulent bridal suite is situated within the Manor House with a beautiful Victorian bathroom and double doors opening onto the front verandah (stoep). In addition, one of the outbuildings adjacent has been lovingly converted into three luxury en-suite rooms. Each boasts its own uniquely themed décor and is available for use by the wedding party.

Viewings take place on weekdays and Saturdays by appointment only between 10h00 and 13h00 unless otherwise arranged. Outside catering is not permitted unless Halaal or Kosher food is required.
