Rosemary Hill

Rosemary Hill is a beautiful Farm Wedding Venue in Gauteng, just east of Pretoria. They have been farming organically and bio-dynamically since 1978 and are a family-owned business.

In addition to farming, they have unique, beautiful accommodation options, hosting up to 150 guests. Guests can enjoy 33km of trails that meander through the farm. Their objective is to provide an opportunity for all your friends and family to share a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Each wedding is set up and curated according to the couple’s unique vision, using the picturesque facilities that they have available. At Rosemary Hill, weddings are a beautiful journey for couples and guests alike, from “I do’s” in the living chapel followed by canapés in the renowned maze, to beautiful reception setups.

The Living Chapel:

This beautiful chapel is located inside a 2-hectare garden consisting of rosemary, lavender, rose geranium, olive trees, lemon trees, pomegranate trees to name a few. The Living Chapel can seat up to 250 guests across three levels.

The Pavilion:

Located at the center of the formal garden, this open-sided structure provides 360-degree views of the beautiful maze which is home to over 2000 plants. The maze provides the perfect setting for your guests to enjoy sunset canapés, lawn games and much more. Please note that the Chapel was recently upgraded so you will notice that it looked different prior to July 2024.

The Barn:

This authentic wooden structure was built in the late ’80s to house an entrepreneurs’ market. It was later enclosed and used as a store for the farm. Today they use it to seat up to 250 guests for a wedding ceremony, or it can seat up to 100 guests for an intimate, cosy wedding reception.

The Distillery:

Recently revamped as the new space for their Essential Oil Distillation Plant, this spacious area with high ceilings can be used for wedding receptions of up to 250 guests, offering industrial, modern elegance.

For the bride and her entourage, Rosemary Hill presents “The Suite”. This luxurious haven is tailor-made for pre-wedding preparations and is included within the package on the day of your wedding. It features a magnificent king-size four-post bed accompanied by a cosy fireplace. With two and a half en-suite bathrooms, showers and a freestanding stone bath, makeup stations, a lounging area, and an outdoor patio, it provides ample space and exquisite beauty to set the perfect bridal ambiance.

The Groom’s Hideaway:

Not forgetting their dashing grooms, Rosemary Hill offers “The Boma” within your package on the wedding day. The Boma is a unique space with a wood fired jacuzzi, a fire pit, braai area, and a modern indoor dressing area. An overall charming place for the groom and his party to get ready, complete with a small indoor bar. The Boma overlooks a serene dam, adding a touch of natural serenity to the groom’s preparations.

Honeymoon Bliss:

Included in their wedding packages, newlyweds are treated to a one-night stay in the Sunset Villa, the ultimate honeymoon suite. With a romantic setting and all the comforts you could wish for, it’s the perfect start to your life together.

To enhance your stay, all accommodation units include top-notch amenities like shampoos, shower gels, body lotions, and more, all made with essential oils sourced from the farm itself. Coffee stations in the rooms are stocked with homemade rusks and biscuits made fresh in their on-site kitchen.
