With beautiful vineyards and the lush rolling hills of the Garden Route as your backdrop, a wedding or special celebration at Kay & Monty Vineyards is sure to be an event to remember.

Housed in what was once an orchid greenhouse, the contemporary function venue seats up to 200 guests (although they can design events for smaller groups) and acts as a blank canvas for your dream décor. With its spacious layout, high ceilings and walls of glass on three sides, the venue looks as sophisticated dressed in a sleek, minimal aesthetic as it does festooned with flowers and fairy lights. The breathtaking landscape of The Crags and the blue Tsitsikamma Mountains – which are clearly visible from any vantage point thanks to all the glass – add an extra layer of “decoration” for a rich natural backdrop.

There are several locations on the farm for an outdoor ceremony as well as a large barn in case of inclement weather; an extremely useful backup option for added peace of mind. In addition to the breathtaking surroundings of the 220-hectare estate, Kay & Monty is also known for its exceptional food, with a variety of menu options that promise a mouthwatering culinary experience for your guests.

The family-owned estate not only offers a picturesque location for your big day but also an assortment of beautiful settings for your photographs. From the iconic entrance and waterlily-studded dam to dense forest and grassy meadows, paddocks filled with polo ponies, sweeping vineyards and a wall of fragrant creeping jasmine, photographers are spoiled for choice!

Bridal couples have the option of reserving Country House for the wedding party; an extremely convenient accommodation option just a few minutes away from the main venue. This rambling private homestead was once the original farmhouse on the land that became Kay & Monty Vineyards and has been lovingly restored to reflect this heritage.

Country House comes fully equipped with five en-suite guest bedrooms, a private swimming pool, large cook’s kitchen, braai facilities, cosy indoor fireplaces, a spacious lounge and dining area and a separate rumpus room with incredible views of the surrounding farm.

Couples hosting their wedding or special event at Kay & Monty are also entitled to an exclusive discount on accommodation at The Old Rectory Hotel & Spa; the venue’s sister property in Plettenberg Bay.
