The venue offers various additional experiences for the wedding party and guests to enjoy from mountain biking routes, walking paths, horse riding, wine tasting and open fire experiences.

Boschendal is a 45-minute drive from Cape Town city centre and a 40-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport.

Overview of Function Venues:

The Olive Press

The Olive Press with its exposed natural poplar roof trusses, floor to ceiling glass doors and stunning views over meadow gardens and Groot Drakenstein Mountains makes for a picturesque event. This area can accommodate up to 200 guests inside the venue.

Rhone Homestead

Situated conveniently near to the Rhone Rose Garden and The Cellar Door Wine Tasting Room, Boschendal’s Cape Dutch historical Rhone Homestead with its lush private gardens is perfect for small, intimate events. The Homestead accommodates up to 40 guests for an indoor wedding and 80 guests for an outdoor set up.

The Retreat

The natural surroundings and small venue make The Retreat perfect for outdoor weddings. The space includes cottages, a communal boma, a mini amphitheatre for outdoor ceremonies and a natural swimming pool. Additional facilities include an indoor cinema, conference room, lounge and dining room. The Retreat can accommodate up to 72 guests.

The Retreat is also a unique pre/post event venue situated in a far corner of Boschendal farm. Their MTB and hiking trails are easily accessible and the sports field towards the top of the venue offers the opportunity to add tented accommodation
