Lady Grey Wedding Venue

Lupela Lodge, a Lady Grey wedding venue, has views that only God could have created. There is peace, tranquillity and quietness, a presence of how great The Creator is. Their venue “OuKraal” is a sandstone building that can accommodate up to 18 guests on square or long tables. Glass and fairy lights add a classic charm to this 86 year old wool shed with a beautiful wooden floor.

This little haven is 25km from the small town of Lady Grey, in a valley on the Karnemelkspruit. There is a 5km gravel road and as it is a farm road high clearance vehicle is recommended but not a must.

Forrest Church

The ceremony takes place in an enchanted forest on the banks of the river surrounded with majestic mountains as a backdrop.

Catering

Catering is done exclusively by the Lodge. Select from a variety of delicious meals and pre-drink snacks. Contact us for further catering and menu options.

The venue has two levels the upper level is for the reception and the bottom level where they serve pre-drinks and host the bar. The packages includes the bridal suite for the Saturday night. Your cake and flowers can also be done by them or alternatively, you can have someone else doing it for you. They can accommodate 18 guests on the premises with accommodation in Lady Grey and on farms around them. The venue is for the exclusive use of the bridal party for the Friday and Saturday. They can also do a Friday night get together function before the wedding and breakfast for Saturday and Sunday morning for your guests. They do offer card facilities.

The view on the farm is spectacular with deep valleys and sheer sandstone cliffs cut out of the mountains by the majestic Karnemelkspruit and its many tributaries. The seasons offer a favour for any intrepid traveller, from the snow capped mountains in the winter months to the hot and rainy summer months, this is a destination for any season.
