Antbear Lodge is a truly unique venue with insane carpentry everywhere. Each door is different, with a creative and quirky lock made of wooden cogs and interlocking pieces. Some doors even have wooden hinges. A lot of love went into building this wedding venue making Antbear Lodge into one of those places your wedding guests will talk about and remember forever.

CHAPEL

The charming stone-and-thatch chapel with its 270-degree glass picture windows has an impressive view of the Drakensberg Mountains. Chandeliers with fairy lights makes this chapel the perfect setting for a Bride and Groom to make their vows. There are options too for outside weddings either inside a forest or next to a dam with spectacular views.

This is a Drakensberg wedding venue perfectly suited to an elegant country-style wedding. The lodge offers endless opportunities for wedding photos and horses are available if you would like to include them in your wedding pictures.

CATERING

Antbear Lodge includes a fully equipped professional kitchen and will gladly cater for your special day. The chefs here are experts at doing a sheep or pig on the spit and they cater for just about any requests. Vegan, vegetarian or whatever else you might need for your guests. They have a number of options as far as the bar goes too where you decide how you would like to handle the drinks.

RECEPTION VENUE

The reception venue can accommodate up to 100 guests. Smaller and more intimate weddings are a speciality of Antbear Lodge making this wedding venue is a particularly lovely space for those smaller weddings. Wooden chandeliers with real candles offer that touch of romance to the atmosphere. Fairy lights are already integrated and unless you really want a particular décor you will find that this wedding venue does not need much as it stands. Its almost as if your wedding will take place in a sophisticated and quirky art gallery.

ACCOMMODATION

Antbear Lodge offers accommodation to in varied options of either mountain view suites, garden view suites or budget and family accommodation units. The rooms, for the most part, include fireplaces and jacuzzi spa baths.

In keeping with being different Antbear Lodge offers a luxury cave as its honeymoon suite. It has been built under a rock overhang and creating a feeling of being in a cave but with all the luxury trimmings of a jacuzzi bath, king size bed, luxury linen, cosy fireplace and hammock chairs on the deck of your cave.

Assistance with local service providers is available. The lodge has a wedding coordinator who can help you with your wedding planning or you are welcome to bring your own wedding planner with you. They know what they are doing but will accommodate whatever wishes you
