Rianie May is the Founder, Wedding Planner, and Designer behind Events by May.
After planning her own wedding in 2020, she discovered a passion for weddings and helping couples create a celebration that feels true to them.
As a wedding planner in Cape Town, she works closely with couples throughout the planning process. Managing the details, coordinating suppliers, and making sure everything comes together smoothly. Her approach is practical, organised, and personal – think of her as the financial planner for your wedding. Guidance on what will work best, a clear eye for the overall design, and plenty of hype along the way.
While she works with couples both locally and abroad, many of her clients live outside of Cape Town and are planning their wedding in the Cape Winelands. She’s experienced in making the planning process easy from wherever you are, with clear communication, trusted suppliers, and someone on the ground to manage the details.
Rianie believes that hiring a wedding planner isn’t about adding another expense – it’s about saving time, reducing stress, and having someone experienced in your corner to help make informed decisions throughout the planning process.
