Description
Emil and Lorraine Bosch are not only husband and wife, but also run their photography business together, making for an accomplished duo who bring their combined strengths to the table. Emil photographed his first wedding in 1983; the start of a love affair with photography. He was the “go-to” photographer for De Beers in Kleinzee and photographed Mr Nicky Oppenheimer on numerous occasions.
It is said that Emil Bosch Photography captures the essence of the people he photographs and has a knack for calming even the most self-conscious couple, enabling him to get beautiful, natural-looking portraits even when posing is required.
Emil is an avid reader and a keen writer. Some of his material has already been published and he is currently working on a manuscript for an Afrikaans novel. They both enjoy walking, motorcycle touring and are always up for an excellent cup of coffee – usually somewhere quaint and interesting. Lorraine is a fairly recent convert to the art of photography.
Her work exhibits a sensitivity, insight and dexterity that surpasses her experience. She is adept at shooting both video and stills. Lorraine is a nature lover, and can often be found walking the trails of Intaka Island searching for interesting flora and fauna, always hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive “Rooikat”.
