Nixon Make-Up is owned and run by Lindsay Nixon, a highly experienced professional makeup artist and hair stylist. With over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry, Lindsay has established herself as a leading artist across the advertising, commercial, fashion, and wedding sectors.

Her journey began in 1992 while studying photography at Natal Technikon, where her passion for fashion, beauty, makeup, and hair quickly became undeniable. When Durban opened its first makeup school, Lindsay seized the opportunity and excelled—finishing first in her class. It was during this time that she realised makeup was her true calling. In 2006, she officially launched Nixon Make-Up.

Within just a year, demand for her work had grown so rapidly that Lindsay expanded the business, taking on the role of agent and mentor to emerging talent. Her first protégée, Kendyl, was recruited directly from makeup school and has been with her ever since. Developing young artists has become one of Lindsay’s greatest passions, and Nixon Make-Up now proudly represents exceptional creative talent, helping to build and shape their careers.

Today, Nixon Make-Up acts as both a professional studio and an agency, booking skilled makeup artists and hair stylists for advertising campaigns, fashion shoots, bridal parties, body painting, and special effects projects.
