A Thing of Beauty is a boutique hair and makeup agency with co-founders and besties Rene and Amelia at the helm. Joining their combined 25 years knowledge and experience together, rest assured, you are in expert and caring hands.

Amelia started her career in the beauty retail industry working for prestige brands such as MAC cosmetics and representing them as an events artist backstage at Africa Fashion International shows. She is seasoned in all things’ makeup and hair and loves collaborating with her clients, bringing their vision to life. Amelia makes it her business to know what’s trending as well as keeping the classics alive.

Rene’ started her career over 12 years ago with MAC cosmetics and has worked in stock photography, film and TV Commercials with local and international brands such as Cherry Melon maternity, Yuri Arcurs Productions and Continental to name a few. Rene’s has an astounding attention to detail which has solidified her a specialist in wedding and events makeup.

A Thing of Beauty has a 360 approach and is there for your journey every step of the way. Advising on hair and makeup choices, sharing valuable tips on preparing for your event, dos, don’ts and so much more. Most importantly they are absolutely dedicated to making you look and feel amazing whatever the occasion.

A Thing of Beauty believes in empowering everyone through makeup and beauty education and specialize in one-on-one makeup lessons as well as group workshops.
