Palm Strings violin/ guitar Duo are South Africa’s most versatile musicians having been leaders in the industry for 30 years. What started as a search for concert material for guitar and violin led to them arranging the largest variety of popular classics. After playing a number of gigs people would request jazz standards, movie tunes, show tunes, pop music, Bollywood tunes as well as original music from Nigeria, Ghana and Zimbabwe. They’ve done it all!

The energy and magic that live music brings to any event should never be underestimated. Palm Strings Duo’s repertoire continues to grow exponentially. In fact it’s almost a given that for every wedding they play there is a new ‘favourite’ pop song.

Palm Strings Duo is on the preferred list of venues like the Belmond Mt. Nelson, The 12 Apostles Hotel and Tintswalo Lodge, to name only a few. There is almost not a wine farm in the Western Cape where they haven’t performed.They have been serenading guests leaving on the luxurious Rovos Rail for some thirty years. They also love to travel and do not hesitate to perform in remote places such as the Kalahari (Tswalu Lodge), Kathu or Hogs Back.
