He strongly believes that the ceremony should look like the couple and that you shouldn’t be required to accommodate traditions and expectations which don’t fit your way of life or understanding of marriage.

The many couples he has married describe him as fun, friendly and relatable. He has an infectious sense of humour and inevitably guests at every wedding he conducts tell him that “that was the best wedding they have ever been to”. He promises not to bore your guests into hibernation and to ensure you and your guests enjoy the ceremony as much as the party afterward.

A highly experienced and sought-after wedding celebrant with more than 30 years’ experience in conducting weddings, Jonathan is available whether you want a full wedding, an intimate elopement or just the legal registration of your marriage.

He is registered as a marriage officer under the Civil Unions Act and is authorised to conduct both straight and same sex marriages and civil unions.
