Description

Langverwagt Wedding Venue

At Langverwagt wedding venue, birdsong fills the air. This family-owned historic wine farm, just 45 minutes from Cape Town and near to Stellenbosch, boasts original Cape Dutch architecture, rambling gardens, an enchanting forest, and views of Table Mountain in the distance. You’re spoilt for choice with stunning backdrops here. It’s no wonder Langverwagt is so popular with photographers and makes an incredible setting for weddings, parties and team-building sessions.

Over the years, Langverwagt’s reputation for delightful surroundings, delicious food, and attentive service has grown. Hosting only one wedding a day, the Le Roux family is passionate about the art of entertainment. Clients turn into friends and return to the farm to savour the hospitality again, even up to 20 years later. Three caterers have been hand-picked to tailor a sumptuous menu – Annalize Buchanan, Gary Power of Salt Catering, and James Shipton of Salt & Pepper Catering.

A Charming Historical Farm in Stellenbosch

As well as being an unforgettable location for a wedding ceremony, the leafy canopy in the forest clearing makes for a magical reception venue in summer. The farm’s old wine cellar seats 150 guests comfortably. This character-filled space features deep walls, ancient Spanish olive oil vessels, and room enough for a large dance floor. Guests can wander into the comfortable lounge and bar located in the original homestead to enjoy its quiet ambiance, artworks and Africana, and a roaring fire in winter.

Langverwagt also offers bed-and-breakfast accommodation for up to 8 guests. In addition to its old-world charm and natural beauty, one of the reasons that Langverwagt is unique is that it is lived on and operated by the family and so, despite having the grand buildings and beautiful grounds to enjoy exclusively with your guests, it still feels like you’re visiting relatives. There’s an authenticity here that makes Langverwagt more than just a venue.
