Set amidst rolling paddocks of polo ponies, and with a dramatic mountain backdrop, Kay and Monty Vineyards is an award-winning Plettenberg Bay Wedding Venues working boutique wine farm and polo estate. Easily accessible from Plett and George airports and the nearby town, its location, facilities, and scenery make it a truly remarkable and memorable location for a destination wedding.
The estate, when booked for a function, is available exclusively to those guests for the duration, and the party will have the venue as well as the accommodation all to themselves. For the reception itself, a former orchid greenhouse serves as a romantic place to say the I Do’s, and can accommodate up to 200 guests, although a smaller more intimate arrangement for smaller guest lists can also be arranged. The space is beautiful in its own right, set as it is within this idyllic setting, but also serves as a wonderful blank canvas to put your own stamp on when planning your decor, colour and floral schemes.
Once the ceremony is complete and festivities can begin, you can enjoy white wine and bubbly from the estate’s own cellars, adding to the ease of arranging catering for the day. The Sauvignon Blanc and Champu are both wonderful versatile accompaniments to whatever menu you choose to serve on the day.
Venue hire includes a two-night stay for 10 people at Rare Earth Country House – a gracious country-meets-contemporary farmhouse located on the estate, ideal for the bridal party to spend time together. A fully equipped kitchen, entertainment area, and facilities, pool and barbecue make it perfect for downtime pre, post or in between the festivities, and the beautifully appointed and individually decorated luxury suites add to the specialness of the occasion.
