Boland Farm Events Venue

This beautiful venue is one of the top boland farm event & function venues Wellington and is situated at the foot of the majestic Hawequa Mountain range and boasts breathtaking views of rolling vineyards and a colourful English garden. It is only an hour’s drive from Cape Town and about 3 km outside the rural town of Wellington.

Leeuwrivier is one of the oldest wine farms in the Wellington district. The Smit and Kruger families, who are presently living on the farm, are direct descendants of the first Malan family who emigrated from France. The farm was originally bought by Daniël Malan in 1766. The current family is the eighth generation on the farm and proudly practices the art of vine grafting and has established a function venue in a lovingly restored barn.

This romantic countryside venue is suited to a wide range of events, including celebrations and year end functions in the tranquil garden and uniquely styled hall. The hall can accommodate 200 guests with a dance floor or 240 guests without.

All of their customers receive personal service. They assist in planning all the aspects of your event – from organising décor, invitations, florists, musicians and planning your menu, right through to suggesting and organising accommodation for your guests in local, nearby guesthouses.

Leeuwrivier makes use of well-experienced local caterers who will help you plan your menu according to your taste and budget. From spit braai’s, buffet’s or plated dinners, their caterers supply it all! Should you prefer, Leeuwrivier will allow you to use your own caterer.

They only do one function per weekend to ensure that there is enough time for setup during the week. They do not only assist in the planning but they also help with the coordination on the day of your event.
