African Relish Karoo Wedding Venue, is based in the beautiful town of Prince Albert. Make your wedding a memorable weekend away with family and friends in this idyllic town.

Prince Albert is situated at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountains. Although situated in the arid Karoo, an abundant supply of water from these mountains make the town a little oasis, with bougainvillaea and roses in almost every garden. The delicate contrast of lush gardens nestled in the indigenous Karoo landscape makes Prince Albert the perfect setting for a unique wedding.

Operating as a recreational cooking school and culinary venue for events, with accommodation, African Relish has hosted numerous weddings, big and small.

Our culinary team can cater for both informal or formal wedding feasts from the onsite kitchen.

Join us for a cozy reception for a smaller, intimate wedding with 65 guests at our culinary hall. If your guest list extends up to 100 seated guests, we can host you in an adjoining tent next to the culinary hall at African Relish, located on the main road in Prince Albert. Celebrate your special day under the stars on the lawn, surrounded by olive trees and organic vegetable and herb gardens. Alternatively, choose the picturesque courtyard next to the modern culinary hall, featuring high walls and glass doors. Though the building is modern, you will find it stays true to the town’s history and local aesthetic.

Traditional ceremony locations include the town’s churches or courthouse. However, with so many beautiful outdoor locations available, the couple can also choose to say their vows at African Relish or another chosen spot in town.

Not only limited to catering and venue hire, but African Relish Karoo Wedding Venue is also able to offer flexible wedding packages with services to pick and choose from, including decor and furniture hire, styling, floral arrangements, staffing and bar facilities.

African Relish has two guest cottages, Akkedis and Doringbos with access to other accommodation options in town to suit your needs.
