Elli-Nicole Bridal, Johannesburg Wedding Dresses, was started with a conversation between her future sister in law and ‘her, she was getting married and couldn’t find anything she liked, she asked her to make her gown. Somewhere between mild panic and elation, she said yes, it is true what they say that your passion finds you. That was 5 years ago and from there she was hooked. It’s been such a fulfilling journey and she is truly blessed to be able to share her craft with others.
The second part of their journey was introducing their customizable wedding shoes. Brides were always telling her how they were struggling to find beautiful shoes for their big day, the idea to customise came from their ethos of creating bespoke gowns, she thought if brides can customise their gowns shouldn’t they be able to do the same with their shoes.

Having your dress custom made is a very special process. It starts with the consultation. Their consultations are 90 minutes long where you as the bride will meet with Elli-Nicole herself to discuss your requirements in detail. They have samples available in studio to fit, they have a wide variety of silhouettes, lace types and details so that a bride can visualize herself in many different looks. It is essential that even if you have tried on dresses before that you fit samples in the consultation.
During your appointment, they will also look at fabric swatches and she will sketch you a preliminary design of your wedding gown. Once your dream dress has started its journey they will see you for a minimum of 3 fittings sometimes more, not only to perfect your fit but also because they like seeing you. Their “ready to wear” dresses are available at The Wedding Collective.
